We started our little herd in December of 2015 with 1 very pregnant doe that gave birth 3 weeks later. As I began my journey with this special breed of dairy goat, I began to learn more about confirmation, milk testing, and the importance of good udder attachment. I have refocused my original plan, to just have milk to make goat milk soap, to breeding for show and milk. Good confirmation is important as well and personality in my goats. We will start our first ever milk testing in the Plus program in 2018, plus attending some selected shows. In the spring of 2018, we will be bringing in some more breeding does (one doe is blue eyed with a near perfect udder) as well as more blue eyed babies with championship bloodlines. I'm very excited about the direction God is bringing my little herd.
